Be it at school or a situation with friends. People will respect and appreciate you more for making the effort to get your point across. Learn to say yes and no when it’s right for you and not others. Express yourself! There’s no point going over what you could have said and wishing you had. |

Not what someone else wants you to be or says you are. By suppressing who you are, you’re in danger of never realising you’re bolder than you think. You are defined by you and nobody else. Everyone has a bolder side wanting to get out in the right situations. Seek it out, don’t hold back and have fun doing it. It’s always nice to surprise people, best of all yourself. |

Most of what we say happens through body language. Show you have self confidence and aren’t afraid to tackle life by keeping your posture up (no slouching!), smiling (relax your face from worries or stress) and making eye contact. You don’t have to go OTT but giving off good body language is great for attracting people and repelling bullies! |

Whether it’s… last bus times, methods of contraception, how something works, dealing with annoying people…it’s all worth knowing and noting. Maturity isn’t about trying stuff that makes you feel older, it’s about learning who you want to be. |

Step outside of routine and expectation. Be impulsive once in a while and don’t think everything through to the point of not doing it. Surprise yourself and others by being unpredictable. It doesn’t mean you have to be irresponsible, just don’t believe you know the outcome of everything. Do something on a whim, last minute! People will be drawn to your ‘seize the day’ attitude! |

Realise everyone has their own special something which comes out of the best of everything we are. Find these individual qualities interesting and flaunt them with pride. Make yourself memorable for the combinations that make up you alone. Be individual rather than one of the crowd. Think outside the box. Follow what you truly love. |

People are attracted to bright colours. On Channel 4’s Gok’s Fashion Fix, he always talks about how catwalk designers ‘clash’ bright colours to say confidence, sex appeal and designer glamour. Have a go yourself. Dare to wear colours you never though would go! If you’re shy and self conscious, think about how your clothes may be adding to that. Try building confident & standing out with what you wear. Turn heads for the right reasons. |
