Here is a little info about our competition judges for PhotoFiction 2007 Sue Shaw - Writer and Visual Artist Sue's short stories and poems have been published in various magazines and anthologies. She has also written articles about youth and community arts. Sue is interested in combining image and text and produces artists' books (as SALT + SHAW), which are in the collections of The British Library, Tate Britain Library, Winchester School of Art and individual collectors in Britain and America. She has worked in the field of creative education since 1987. Robin Vaughan-William - Sheffield performance poet Robin writes poems about Russia, relationships (usually the dysfunctional kind), stultifying work condition, and other happy subjects. He has performed in London, Manchester, Bradford, York, and Sheffield, and has been running Spoken Word Antics in Sheffield for over three years now. He is particularly interested in the performance context of poetry, and organised a couple of sound-poetry collages called Verbiage and Demolition in the Winter Garden and the Cathedral in 2004 and 2005. Matt Black - Sheffield Poet Matt Black is a poetry activist in Sheffield, writing and performing since 1986, running a monthly poetry venue, poetry slams in schools, a writers resource centre, and work as Course Director, Creative Writing, University of Sheffield.His publications include In the Kitchen With the Candlestick and Squeezing Lemons. He has participated in over 500 public performances including Cheltenham Festival, Ledbury Festival, Sheffield Festival, Chester Festival, pubs, clubs, and weddings.
