When I am an old woman I shall wear
a long brown dress made out of squares
Of chocolate with jelly sweets for decoration.
And I shall spend my pension on high heeled
Dancing boots, chocolate and fancy knickers
And say we have no money for clothes.
I shall go to work in my pyjamas and have
chocolate ice cream for breakfast and run around
Naked in the church.
I shall sing pop songs loudly in the street
And when nobody's looking I shall pinch someone’s
motorbike and learn to sky dive on a bike.
You can eat sweets until you feel sick
and bash people over with your wheelchair
And turn up at people's parties, even if you're
Not invited.
But now we must be polite to people
And wear suits to work
And never, ever eat chocolate for breakfast
And set examples for little ones.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now,
So people who know me are not too shocked
Or surprised - when suddenly I am old
And start to run around naked in the church!
